Welcome to the School of English and Drama
We are a large, friendly and flourishing centre for teaching and research in the disciplines of English and Drama.
The School is made up of the Department of English and the Department of Drama . Although the Departments are separately responsible for the organisation of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in other respects we function as one unit, sharing many interests and working together in joint degree programmes and various activities. The quality of teaching and research is highly rated in both departments, and the learning environment in the School as a whole is both exciting and carefully structured.

The Department of Drama and the Department of English have received outstanding results in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
