Queen Mary's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is embarking on the latest phase of strategic investment to recruit excellent researchers and teachers who can contribute to the achievement of its ambitious and exciting plans.
Drama seeks to appoint a Professor or Reader of international standing with an outstanding track record in research, teaching and academic leadership. We seek someone who will play a prominent role in our research and teaching programmes through innovative critical and pedagogical practice, both individually and through collaboration with others. We invite applications from excellent candidates in any area of drama, theatre and performance studies, but we especially welcome applications from those who would extend the historical reach of our scholarship and teaching, expand the cultural breadth of our work, and/or offer original perspectives on socially engaged performance.
The post is full time and permanent, starting from 1 September 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be negotiable. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
