Two New Productions in London Directed by Drama PhD Student Mojisola Adebayo

12 August 2013

Mojisola Adebayo, a PhD student in the Drama Department, has two new productions being performed over the Summer.

The first, Sweet Taboo, starts August 15th and runs until August 17th at the Embassy Theatre. The second, 48 Minutes for Palestine, runs from 7-8 September at Rich Mix.

Sweet Taboo is a fast and playful, rude and irreverent show that re-writes the old sex, gender and race rules direct from the bodies, minds and souls of London's freshest new performers.
Infused with flavoursome music, dance, theatre, spoken word and comedy Sweet Taboo is sure to be this summer's guilty pleasure.

48 Minutes for Palestine was created in 2010 and has been performed, published and praised in a tour across 4 continents. September 7 - 8 marks its debut in London at the Rich Mix before finishing this sell out tour in Paris, France!
48 Minutes for Palestine is performed by 2 remarkable and respected Palestinian actors, Edward Muallem and Riham Issac and explores what happens when a woman lives under occupation. An edifying original musical score by celebrated composer, Rami Washaha, accompanies it.
