After Your Degree

AiR Supply

Our Drama programmes equip students with a range of key attributes ensuring they are sought after in the workplace.

Our graduates have gone on to pursue careers in a wide range of sectors. Many of Drama’s graduates go on to work in the theatre and cultural industries, as performers, creative producers, directors, applied arts practitioners, and arts administrators. A number of recent graduates have also formed their own theatre companies, including Figs in Wigs and Sh!t Theatre, that perform in London and beyond.

Other graduates go on to work in education, the charity sector, business, and media and journalism. Some also pursue further professional training and postgraduate study (including on our own outstanding MA and PhD programmes).

Recent graduate destinations have included:

  • Production Management Assistant for the BBC
  • Fundraiser for Amnesty International
  • Head of Special Events for the British Film Institute
  • General Manager at a London theatre
  • Research Assistant for Tatler
  • MA and PhD at Queen Mary
  • Arts Administrator for Pacitti Company/Spill Festival
  • Project Manager for Phakama
  • Junior Producer for ITN

AiR Supply

Many graduates benefit from AiR Supply, a training and employability scheme for recent QM graduates. The primary aims of this initiative are to: offer continuing education and peer mentoring in creative production and event management; provide networking and employment opportunities; build bridges between university study and employment and encourage entrepreneurial initiatives.
